Questions to Ask Potential Daycare Centers – Part 1

If you’re looking for a daycare center, it can be a daunting process. You are looking for your child’s second home, and there are so many things you need – the right price, location, staff, facility, and more. The fear of putting your child in the wrong place can be very stressful.

At the Texas Children’s Academy, we understand that makes a great daycare. We are going to use the next few blogs to share questions you can ask potential childcare providers.

Do you have openings right now?

This one might seem like an awkward opener, but if you need help, you’ll want to know if they have a place for your child in the first place. Even if they don’t have an opening, you should still go through the rest of the questions. If they look good and don’t have an opening, you’ll have the information you need if something works out in the future.

What are your hours?

You need to know if they operate at times that work for you. The facility you choose should provide you time for dropping your child off and picking him or her back up. Typically, daycares run from six in the morning to six in the evening. Sometimes, it’s six-thirty rather than six. You should also ask how they handle late pickup.

At Texas Children’s Academy, we know that we are partnering with you in raising your child. We also believe that your child deserves the very best. Contact us today to learn more about what sets us apart from the rest!
